Natural sun-dried tomatoes are a typical product of Sicily. They are fresh tomatoes dried in the sun to preserve their intense and characteristic flavor, without any added seasoning or preservatives. They are used as an ingredient in the preparation of traditional Sicilian dishes, such as pasta alla Norma, and can be used as a dressing for salads, meat and fish dishes or for the preparation of pickles and jams.
