It is prepared with selected pork and cured for a long period of time, then cooked slowly, at low temperatures and hand-tied to give a perfect shape. This cooked ham is characterized by a smooth and delicate flavor, with a soft and juicy texture, accompanied by an intense aroma and unique taste. Cooked ham, produced in Sicily, is perfect for serving in slices as an accompaniment for aperitifs, as an ingredient to prepare traditional Sicilian dishes or as a condiment for pasta dishes.
